Nov. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao rejected “unfair” calls for the yuan to appreciate and European leaders acknowledged that they had failed to shift the nation’s stance on its currency.

유럽경제 리더들과의 회담에서 원자바오 중국 총리는 위안화 평가절상 거절. 유럽경제 리더들도 이번 회담에서 위안화 환율에 대한 중국의 입장을 바꾸는데 실패했음을 인정.

 

In the financial crisis, “a stable yuan is helpful to the development of the Chinese economy and the world’s economic recovery,” Wen said.

원자바오 총리는 "금융위기에는, 안정적인 위안화가 중국경제 발전과 세계경제 회복에 도움이 될 것" 이라 언급.

 

“China will on-ly adjust on its own terms and in its own time,” said Glenn Maguire, chief Asia-Pacific economist at Societe Generale SA in Hong Kong. “It’s decided that now is not the time to do that.”

글렌 마퀴어 소시에떼제네랄 아시아-태평양 담당 이코노미스트는 "중국은 오직 자신들의 기준에 의해서만 위안화 문제를 조정할 것이며, 중국은 지금 그런 (조정의)시기가 아니라고 판단하고 있는 것 같다"고 언급...
